At the center of the film is a metal disk to prevent extrusion from the oil connection when the accumulator is completely emptied.
In the "AM" type accumulator, the separator can be replaced by unscrewing the hemispherical cover.
The membrane is frictionless. So there is no pressure drop between the oil side and the air side. The film also has low mass inertia. Therefore, diaphragm accumulators are preferred for use as water hammer absorbers and ripple dampers in the following domains: industry, machine tools, mobile, and agriculture.
The recommended compression ratio of the "AM" type accumulator is 1:6, and depending on the number of cycles, loading and unloading, the compression ratio can even reach 1:8 without affecting the diaphragm's service life. According to the characteristics of the application, the gas loss due to diffusion of the membrane accumulator is 1 ÷ 3% per year.
